Transport emissions need to be tackled to put the UK on course to meet its net-zero ambitions

If the UK is to meet its 2050 net-zero targets, a place-based approach must be adopted to prioritise reducing the need to travel and encouraging active travel and public transport wherever possible.

This is a warning set out in the RTPI’s latest report, Net Zero Transport: The Role of Spatial Planning and Place-based Solutions.
