Slight year-on-year decrease in applications decided in Q4

District-level planning authorities granted 88,600 decisions between October and December 2018. This is a 5 per cent decrease when compared with the same quarter in 2017, according to latest statistics.

Of those decisions, 11,900 were for residential applications, 5 per cent down on a year earlier. In total, 1,600 were for major developments and 10,300 for minor developments.

According to the statistics, published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), there were 2,300 applications for commercial developments granted, down 10 per cent when compared with Q4 .....Sign Up or Login to read full article
