Reducing transport emissions is focal point of Wales’s transport strategy

The Welsh Government has made increasing public transport use and active travel, while reducing transport emissions, the central planks of its new transport strategy.

The strategy, titled Llwybr Newydd: The Wales Transport Strategy 2021, was consulted on during 2020.The government aims to achieve a target of 45 per cent of journeys to be carried out sustainably as part of its plans to address the climate crisis.
