Queen’s Speech sets out plans for infrastructure, environment and devolution

Ministers will bring forward a National Infrastructure Strategy in the autumn to boost productivity and tackle climate change under a series of initiatives unveiled in the Queen’s Speech.

The government’s legislative programme will also include an environment bill to enshrine key principles in law and set legally binding improvement targets.A renewed drive to encourage devolution also features significantly in the government’s plans.The National Infrastructure Strategy promised in the Queen’s Speech would offer a long-term vision to improve “all areas of economic infrastructure”........
