Queen’s Speech sets out plans for infrastructure, environment and devolution

Ministers will bring forward a National Infrastructure Strategy in the autumn to boost productivity and tackle climate change under a series of initiatives unveiled in the Queen’s Speech.

The government’s legislative programme will also include an environment bill to enshrine key principles in law and set legally binding improvement targets.

A renewed drive to encourage devolution also features significantly in the government’s plans.
