Belfast City Council's planning committee has deferred its decision on a highly controversial city centre redevelopment pending a site visit.

Belfast masterplan consultation starts

Belfast City Council has begun consulting on a masterplan for the development of a mixed-use neighbourhood in the inner north-west quadrant of the city centre, a 17-hectare area bounded by Millfield / Carrick Hill to the north-west, College Street / Fountain Street / Fountain Lane to the south and Royal Avenue to the east.

Ambitious east Belfast scheme unveiled

Ambitious plans for the redevelopment of the disused Laburnnum playing fields in east Belfast have surfaced involving flats, a hotel, a 3G football pitch, children’s play area, tennis courts and a mini golf course, all of which would be linked to the Connswater Community Greenway.
