News analysis: Draft NPPF: Right homes, right places?

Eight chapters of the revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) (pdf) create the framework for meeting the challenge of delivering ‘the right homes in the right places’, according to the chief planner, Steve Quartermain.

Speaking at a workshop hosted by the RTPI at the NPPF launch last Monday (5 March), Quartermain and his colleague Simon Gallagher, MHCLG director of planning, picked out the key chapters and passages in the new document for those engaged in housebuilding.
