New Belfast office and hotel projects unveiled

Proposals for a £30 million commercial redevelopment of buildings at Linenhall Street, Clarence Street and Bedford Street in Belfast city centre have been revealed by Surrey-based development company Domus UK Ltd.

The firm is looking to increase the provision of new grade A office floor space in the capital’s Linen Quarter.

The proposals, set to be submitted to Belfast City Council in early 2020, expand on plans for an existing £10 million redevelopment of buildings on Linenhall Street and Clarence Street, which has already been the subject of pre-application community consultation.

In a separate move, developer Propiteer has unveiled a scheme to convert the former home of the Nambarrie Tea factory in Belfast into a 151-bedroom Moxy Hotel, a sub-brand of Marriott Hotels

Under this proposal, properties in both Victoria Street and Waring Street would be demolished, although the façades of 41-43 Waring Street would be retained.
