MSPs warned Scotland planning bill is ‘unworkable’

RTPI Scotland has urged MSPs to drop ‘unfunded additional duties’ in the Planning (Scotland) Bill ahead of its stage 3 debate.
The bill is “unworkable as it stands”, said the institute.In a briefing, RTPI Scotland called on MSPs to work across parties to remove the duties, and find new ways of bringing “much-needed” resources into the planning system.
