More than 100 councils face action in housing delivery test

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has published the results of its first housing delivery test. A total of 107 authorities have failed to meet the 95 per cent delivery target.

The assessment of housing need comes after months of delay – the revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) had stated that the results would be published annually in November from 2018.

To calculate the Housing Delivery Test, total net homes delivered over a three-year period is divided by the total number of homes required over a three-year period. The 2018 test considers 2015/.....Sign Up or Login to read full article
