New artist’s impressions of one of Edinburgh city centre’s largest redevelopments were released this week by the developers as part of the latest round of public consultation, now being held online.

The New Town North development involves proposals for 350 homes, premium office space and a hotel to replace the existing 1970s-era office complex that was formerly home to the Royal Bank of Scotland. It left the site in 2017.

Property company Ediston is delivering the project on behalf of Orion Capital Managers, which purchased the 5.9-acre site just under a year ago.

In addition to the homes and build-to-rent flats, the project includes plans for shops, a gym and health facilities as well as extensive landscaping and a new courtyard within the scheme.
