Newry

Plans for a major new business park that could support more than 4,200 jobs have been unveiled for a site at Newry.

The development – on agricultural land to the north of the city – would provide a mix of business, light industrial and retail floor space.

Outline planning permission is being sought for the project on land at Carnmeen Farm, Newry.

Dubbed the Newry North Business Campus, the 740,500 square feet scheme would comprise 347,200 square feet of office space, 392,900 square feet of light industrial space and 5,900 square feet of retail floor space.

A total of 2,070 car parking spaces and 236 cycling spaces are proposed by the applicant, Carnmeen Developments Limited.
