Dublin fast-track approval for RTE lands scheme quashed

An Bord Pleanála has consented to a High Court order quashing its fast-track approval for 614 new homes on former RTÉ lands proposed by Cairn Homes in the Ailesbury Road area of Dublin.

Durham enabling development heads to court

A parish council has raised more than £12,000 towards a legal challenge over Durham Council’s decision to give a developer permission for a 72-home scheme near Raby Castle, Park and Gardens which would facilitate the restoration of grade I-listed Gainford Hall and heritage buildings at the attraction.

Surrey oil wells challenge goes a further round

The Court of Appeal has agreed to hear a dispute over whether a developer’s obligation to provide an environmental statement describing the likely significant effects of a development, both direct and indirect, requires an assessment of the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the use of an end product said to have originated from that development.
