A judicial review challenging Wiltshire Council's decision-making in relation to a major new distributor road serving a 7,500-home development in Chippenham has been dismissed by a High Court judge. The residents’ group behind the challenge is to appeal.

Stansted Airport planning row costs settled

Uttlesford District Council is to make a part 36 Offer to Stansted Airport Limited of £1.4 million in full and final settlement of planning appeal costs. The local authority had already settled and paid the costs of an unsuccessful High Court challenge to the inspector’s grant of permission. However, the costs of the original planning appeal remained outstanding.
