Court of Appeal decides that cemeteries are inappropriate in the green belt

The Court of Appeal has backed a High Court ruling that Gedling Borough Council was wrong to approve a crematorium and cemetery at a green belt location on the outskirts of Nottingham after arguing that a change of use involving cemetery facilities was not “inappropriate”.
