An Aberystwyth property development company has been fined £1,000 for failing to carry out work on a prominent seafront building following a case brought by Ceredigion County Council.

Environmentalist loses bid over 'Heaney' A6 upgrade

Environmentalist Chris Murphy has lost a court case over the route of a major road scheme close to landscape made famous by poet Seamus Heaney. At issue was a section of the proposed A6 dual carriageway project at Toomebridge in Co Antrim. Murphy says he will appeal the judgement in favour of the Department for Infrastructure.

SNH comments on legal decision on general licenses’ usage

Scottish Natural Heritage has welcomed a senior judge’s decision to uphold a decision by SNH to restrict the use of General Licences on land in the Scottish Borders where evidence of wildlife crimes had been found. That move had been challenged by affected landowners.
