Development proposed for Cork dockland

Ambitious proposals to redevelop part of the South Docks area of Cork city have been unveiled. They would see a new urban quarter created in the state’s second city incorporating a 130-bed hospital, offices and new homes.

O’Callaghan Properties has confirmed that it is set to apply for planning permission for a €350 million project involving a 92,900-square-metre development on a 17-hectare site at Kennedy Quay.The project will also involve the restoration and repurposing of the derelict landmark Odlums Mills to create two seven and nine-storey buildings providing flats as well as a cinema, food hall and........
