Budget 2018: Boost for North Wales growth deal and M4 relief road

The UK Government commits £120 million to allow a North Wales Growth Deal to proceed, the third such initiative to be agreed in Wales. The commitment came as part of Monday’s Budget announcements.
This is expected to be matched by the Welsh Government, taking funding to more than £240 million.
The region’s six local authorities – Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham – are all involved in the bid, along with business organisations and the area’s universities.
