Budget 2018: Almost £30 billion for roads, £200 million for broadband

Chancellor Philip Hammond has committed close to £30 billion for nationally important road projects for 2020-25, and £770 million to improving roads and transport networks regionally – including the 'pothole repair fund' for road repairs.
The chancellor has also pledged £200 million to "pilot innovative approaches to deploying full fibre internet in rural locations".
