Prime Minister warns gap between permissions and build out ‘too large’

Prime Minister Theresa May has warned that the gap between planning permissions and homes built out 'is too large', as she announced that the government 'is rewriting the rules on planning'.

Speaking at a national planning conference held at the Institute of Engineering and Technology, May also warned developers who are too slow to build houses that their past record could count against them when they bid for new planning permissions.While over 217,000 homes were built last year, “for decades this country has failed to build enough of the right homes in the right places........
