Hallam Land Management Ltd has revealed proposals for a residential development of about 600 new homes on land at Dullatur Golf Club in Cumbernauld.

The developer has formally submitted a proposal of application notice to North Lanarkshire Council.

The proposed development would deliver a mix of private and affordable family homes in line with the council’s housing and planning policies.

Residential development would be the single use on the site but would be supported by areas of accessible and “high-quality” open space and a network of green links.

The new homes vary in size and form, reflecting the local character and meeting with local need, stressed the developer.

Consultant Barton Willmore has drawn up an outline masterplan. Funds generated from the development will be used by the golf club to enhance its existing facilities and sustain its long-term future.
