An oft-cited failing in politicians is that they only think about four years ahead to the next general election. The most successful politicians understand the public mood and can infer which measures will be popular and those that will not. So how easy is it going to be to convince politicians to transcend this mindset and put spatial planning at the forefront of the agenda? ........
