Planners should tackle urban challenges using a child-friendly approach to support a healthy life for all ages and abilities, says Hannah Wright

While cities can offer diverse, vibrant and exciting places to live and grow up in, they also come with their particular pressures. Challenges such as car dependence, air pollution and declining opportunities for play and independent mobility all impact on a child’s, a community’s and a city’s resilience.
