October’s UN Habitat III convention on housing and sustainable development offers planners a timely opportunity to review the role that trees and landscape play within the planning process. This is not least because of the many ways in which trees can contribute to wellbeing and resilience in an age of growing urban populations and intensifying climate change impacts.
