Plymouth City Council has extended the scheme in which crowdfunding helps allocate the neighbourhood proportion of its community infrastructure levy – a climate emergency bonus now incentivises environmental projects. Martin Read reports

In 2019 the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence showered Plymouth City Council with praise for its innovative City Change Fund / Crowdfund Plymouth (CCF) – a method allowing local community projects to be part-funded by the council using funds from the community infrastructure levy neighbourhood proportion.Essentially, local project leaders upload details to the Crowdfunder.co.uk platform........
