Appeal: 'Positive design' earns appeal success for 32-home South Downs plan

Plans for 32 homes bordering the South Downs have been approved despite concerns that the development would harm the area's natural beauty, after the inspector praised their art deco-influenced design.

The development, to be built just beyond the border of Sussex Downs National Park (an AONB), was met with various concerns during public consultation, the foremost of which was its impact on the character and appearance of the surrounding area.
