Appeal: Willaston homes approved despite green gap and BMV issues


Wainhomes (North West) Ltd has been granted permission to build 100 dwellings on land outside of defined settlement limits within the Nantwich/Willaston green gap in Cheshire, after an inspector ruled that the scheme was necessary to meet housing need in the area.

Inspector Lesley Coffey noted that the green gap as defined by policy NE.4 of the Crewe and Nantwich Replacement Local Plan 2011 seeks to maintain definition and separation between the settlements of Crewe, Willaston, Wistaston, Nantwich, Haslington and Shavington.
