Appeal: Unpredictable alpaca breeding justifies rural accommodation

Plans for a rural worker’'s caravan to support a smallholding in Cambridgeshire have been approved despite its marginal viability, after an inspector agreed it would be conducive to animal welfare.

The appeal relates to a smallholding operation near Haddenham, east Cambridgeshire, which accommodates a small number of alpacas, pigs, turkeys, ducks and chickens. The appellant sought permission to install a permanent caravan to support the business.
