Appeal: Three solar farms allowed in Cumbria

Lightsource SPV 179 Ltd has been granted permission for three 4.9 megawatt solar farms near Penrith in Cumbria, after an inspector judged that the farms would have limited impact on landscape amenity.

Inspector Brendan Lyons noted that all three solar farms were recommended for approval by Eden District Council officers but refused by elected members, along with four other proposed solar installations.
