Appeal: SoS approves 1,000 home Northampton South Sustainable Urban Extension

Communities secretary Sajid Javid has granted developer Bovis Homes outline planning permission for the Northampton South Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE), but refused permission for 380 dwellings on a nearby site.

The two appeals were recovered by former secretary of state Greg Clark on 22 May 2015 as they involve proposals for “residential development over 150 units which would significantly impact on the government’s objective to secure a better balance between housing demand and supply and to create high-quality, sustainable, mixed and inclusive communities.”
