Appeal: Solar farm approved for Walpole St Andrew, Norfolk


Developer Elgin Energy Esco Ltd has been granted permission for a 30 mega watt solar photovoltaic facility in Norfolk, against the decision of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council.

The development will produce up to 27,750,000 kilowatt hours, the equivalent of the electricity supply of 7,000 homes.

The 66-hectare site is made up of grade 2 agricultural land, thus designating it ‘best and most versatile’ (BMV) land.
