Appeal: Plan for homes on football club land lacks affordable housing provision


A plan to build 60 homes on a football club's land and refurbish its sports facilities has been rejected after affordable housing was omitted from its planning obligation documents, despite a previous agreement to include a 15 per cent provision.

The appeal site lies in a ‘green corridor’ between Stockton and Middlesbrough, designated a Landscape Character Area by the local council, and is home to Thornaby FC of Northern League Division Two.
