Appeal: Manchester flats would not harm conservation area


Britannia Homes has been given permission to develop a mixed-use building with a ground floor retail unit and 25 upper-level residential units in Withington, Manchester, despite Manchester City Council’s concerns about the impact of the development on parking in the area.

Inspector Nigel Harrison noted that the council considered that as no on-site parking was proposed as part of the development, this would result in residents and staff related to the development having to trawl the surrounding streets in search of parking spaces.
