Appeal: Lyme Regis historic chapel renovations approved


A series of repairs and renovations, and the change of use from storage to business, have been approved for the listed Peek Memorial Chapel in Lyme Regis.

Inspector Neil Pope noted that while the chapel had been deconsecrated in the late 20th century, its significance lay in its architectural features and its historical relation to the adjacent Alexandra Hotel. The chapel used to be a stable block for the hotel, which was then Poulett House, home to a local aristocratic family.
