Appeal: Loss of BMV land does not preclude Essex homes


Thirty-seven homes have been approved for grade 2 agricultural land in Great Bardfield, Essex, after an inspector concluded that the district had sufficient supply of best and most versatile (BMV) land.

Inspector Claire Victory noted that the appeal land wraps around a recent housing development, and that the proposed development would be viewed in tandem with this. She acknowledged that the site lies outside of, but next to the settlement boundary of Great Bardfield, but gave this and other policies relating to housing supply limited weight in light of Braintree Districy Council’s lack .....Sign Up or Login to read full article
