Appeal: Leicestershire homes allowed despite ‘exceedance of housing requirement’

Manor Oak Homes has been granted permission to develop 110 homes at Kibworth Beauchamp, Leicestershire, after a ruling that the area neighbourhood plan was at too early a stage to be determinative in the appeal decision.
Although the appeal site technically lies outside of the settlement limits of Kibworth Beauchamp, the council acknowledged that these limits for development are based on out-of-date evidence, and that in the absence of a five-year supply of housing land all policies for the supply of housing should be considered out of date.
