Appeal: Javid redetermines 100 Staffordshire homes appeal

Communities secretary Sajid Javid has approved the development of up to 100 homes for Rolleston on Dove, Staffordshire, after deciding that the scheme would not conflict with an emerging neighbourhood plan (NP) and the recently adopted East Staffordshire Local Plan Core Strategy (LP).

The scheme had been refused by then communities secretary Eric Pickles in December 2014 as he deemed it to prejudice the then un-adopted LP and NP. This decision was then quashed by the High Court in May 2015, and fell to Javid to redetermine.
