Appeal: Hydrotherapy pool meets planning exception


Kisimul School, a specialist school providing residential care and education for children with “severe learning difficulties and very challenging behaviour” in Surbiton, Surrey, has been granted permission to erect a single-storey building including a hydrotherapy pool.

Inspector Kenneth Stone noted that the 3.2-hectare school site lies within the green belt, and thus in essence the erection of a new building would detrimentally affect the site's openness.
