Appeal: Henfield homes refused despite quashing of neighbourhood plan

Communities secretary Sajid Javid has refused permission for 72 residential units at the former Standgate Nurseries site in Henfield, Sussex, after judging that the recent quashing of the Henfield Neighbourhood Plan (NP) did not damage Horsham District Council’s housing supply position.

The Henfield NP was quashed by the High Court in April 2016, after a judge found issue with the plan’s approach to addressing the built-up area boundary.
