Appeal: Flintshire gypsy pitch approved

Permission has been granted for the change of use of land to provide two traveller pitches in Oakenholt, Wales, after the council acknowledged a shortage of gypsy sites within the district.
Inspector Janine Townsley found that “visually, the development would result in little change to the area” when taking into account the presence of a substantial industrial building on site, and the fact that the site is shielded by trees.
Townsley did acknowledge that the development constituted inappropriate development in the green barrier, as it falls outside of settlement boundar.....Sign Up or Login to read full article
