Appeal: Falmouth housing would not harm historic church

Midas Commercial Developments has been granted permission to develop 94 homes in the village of Budock Water, Falmouth, after finding that the setting of the grade II listed Church of St Budock would be largely preserved.

Inspector Nick Fagan noted that a previous appeal for a larger, 154-dwelling scheme on adjacent land was refused in 2015, with the inspector finding that there would be a harmful effect on the setting of the church and that visual harm would arise from the significant reduction in the gap between Falmouth and Budock Water.This field to the west of the appeal site and another to the north would........
