Appeal: Dunfermline housing makes ‘most efficient use of land’


Developer Campion Homes has been granted permission for the development of 61 houses in Dunfermline, Scotland, after a reporter ruled that the infill development would not unacceptably harm the privacy or amenity of existing neighbouring properties.

Reporter Dannie Onn noted that the appeal site had been allocated for housing development within the Dunfermline and West Fife Local Plan.

Because of the sloped nature of the site, the proposal included the erection of retaining walls over 2 metres high in some areas. Onn acknowledged that these features were a necessary consequence of providing suitable access to houses on a sloping site.....Sign Up or Login to read full article
