Appeal: Camborne scheme would boost housing for Cornwall’s ‘largest conurbation’

Merlion Capital Developments has been given permission to build up to 94 homes and a 60-bed residential care facility in Camborne, Cornwall, after an inspector judged that the scheme would help secure the necessary rate of housing delivery for a strategically important area.
Inspector Colin Ball noted that the settlements of Camborne, Pool, Illogan and Redruth (together CPIR) form a continuous corridor of urban development which “collectively represents Cornwall’s largest conurbation”.
