Appeal: Barn conversion allowed after High Court ruling on NPPF paragraph 55

An inspector has cited a recent High Court ruling on the meaning of the word 'isolated' in ruling that a proposed barn conversion near Ipswich would not conflict with NPPF paragraph 55.

The appeal relates to two modern agricultural barn buildings in Little Choppins Stud, a hamlet near Coddenham, eight miles north of Ipswich. The appellant sought permission to demolish one of the barns, and convert the other into a residential dwelling.The Mid-Suffolk Core Strategy (CS) restricts the development of new homes in the countryside.
