Appeal: Affordable housing clause fails planning obligation tests

A clause requiring an annual financial contribution towards affordable housing has been removed from a planning obligation attached to an approved wind farm in Turriff, Aberdeenshire, after a reported concluded that the clause failed four out of five tests.

The clause required the developer of the three turbine wind farm to pay Aberdeenshire Council £1,870 each year towards the provision of affordable housing.
