Appeal: 41 new homes approved for former Huddersfield village green site


Inspector Matthew Birkinshaw has granted the appeal for 41 new homes and associated works to be built in Huddersfield, after Kirklees Metropolitain Borough Council failed to give notice within the prescribed decision period.

The council originally opposed the proposal, submitted by developer Prospect Estates Ltd, due to a “lack of affordable housing and sufficient information relating to biodiversity and ecology”.
