Appeal: 180-home scheme approved after three-month deferral

A reporter has granted permission for a phased development of 180 homes over five years in North Lanarkshire, after deferring the appeal by three months to allow the appellant to secure a planning obligation for a financial contribution to local schools.

The original proposal sought permission to build 180 homes in a development staggered over four years, in North Lanarkshire, near Coatbridge, east of Glasgow. The proposal was blocked by North Lanarkshire Council for a number of reasons, which reporter Karen Black dealt with in turn.
