Appeal: ‘Natural’ burial site allowed in Solihull green belt

A change of use of agricultural land to a ‘green’ burial cemetery in Temple Balsall, Solihull, has been allowed, after an inspector concluded that the scheme would not harm green belt aims.

Inspector Gary Deane said that as the use described in this proposal is not included in the NPPF’s list of forms of development that are acceptable in the green belt, it should be considered inappropriate development.
